ABOUT ME

I was never the type of child who knew what they wanted to be when they grew up. My parents opened up every door for me and made me believe that I could do anything I wanted and I’m so grateful for that. Fast forward to high school and I realised that the world was not on the side of the young women striving for success. I figured out that I had a voice, a loud one in fact. I liked to be heard and I was passionate about levelling the playing field between men and women. 

Eventually I grew up a little bit and all my friends were choosing their degrees for university and I didn't find Activist or Leader anywhere on that degree list. So, I didn’t go to university and I took a gap year to travel and figure some things out. I wanted to know which degree on that list I could magically turn into something I wanted to be one day. 

My name is Hanaa’ Khanyisa Toefy, I’m 20 years old, still as confused as ever, but I know I like to talk and creating a blog is the next best thing.
